It’s been said that being a parent is the hardest job, yet the best, in the world!
I must say, I am inclined to agree. There is nothing that compares to the love your child will give you – and so freely without conditions… at first!
Being a parent is more difficult than most of us ever imagined. You may hit those walls and think, Hey, this is NOT what I signed up for. There are times you overreact to your child in ways that make you feel horrible later.
Parenting can also be a source of stress in your relationship with your partner. You were such a great team … before kids. But now you seem to be on different pages of the parenting playbook. THIS…is the difference between “mom and dad”.
You long for and need connection and cooperation with your child, but find yourself relying on techniques that seem to pit you against each other, locking in the endless battle – such as I talk about in this vlog Mom’s are the Worst Bullies. You long for and need connection, cooperation, and a sense of being on the same parenting page with your partner. You’re not alone! Children don’t come with a handbook, and sometimes “winging it” just isn’t working.
There is help. There is another way.
Yes, your job as a parent is one of the most important jobs you will ever have. Let’s face it. Parents are bringing up the next generation of adults. And yet, no one teaches it in school, and no one talks about the deep struggles many of us have with parenting. The truth is that great parents get great support. I’m sure you have heard the saying “it takes a tribe to raise a child.”
There is much wisdom in those words. In early centuries – and in some cultures currently – that is exactly what happens. The entire family is helping to raise the child of the “new” parents. Why? Because the older ones that have gone before them – they have experience, wisdom, and stamina! They can teach new parents from what they have been through and learned! The family – or TRIBE – is the teacher. This tribe is often sorely lacking in today’s modern culture. As such, it’s all the more important to be intentional about creating and cultivating this support for ourselves as new parents.

- Discover and articulate your family’s values, and use them to set limits that peacefully stick.
- Transform anger, and repair with resilience, the inevitable ruptures that occur.

Become Peaceful Parents Together – Group Program for Couples.
I know parents are crazy busy (I am!) so this training will take place from the comfort of your own home (or office) via internet for recorded classes and a live group video call once a week.
Do you know of other parents in your community that could benefit from being in a group? The group can have 2-4 couples and consists of 10 weekly sessions and 1 closing session for a total of 11 weeks. The individual 11 sessions per couple are $2500 – in a group of 2 couples or more, you will save 50% at $1250 per couple.
This group format is a double blessing – it keeps costs down, and you get the added benefit of additional support from other kindred parents wanting to learn peaceful parenting skills for a more joyful family. Call or email me to schedule your free half-hour consult! Time and day to be determined by the group, most likely in the evening.
