A Heartful Approach to Teaching and Groups
Community is a vital part of being a human being. We are social creatures and need each other perhaps more than we would care to admit. Groups and Classes can be a very good way to address concerns and grow as a person. And they are very cost-effective. I have developed and led a variety of Meditation and Mindfulness classes and programs. My current offerings include:
How to Thrive as a Highly Sensitive Person in a Non-sensitive World
New Courses begin every mid-September and mid-January
This course is designed for HSP’s (Highly Sensitive People) to learn more about this trait and how to keep your sanity in a non-sensitive world. You aren’t crazy, there is nothing wrong with you! As an HSP living in a non-HSP world (we are only 15-20% of the population) many of us (yes, me too!) receive messages early and often in life that there is something wrong with us ~ we are “too sensitive” ~ this is not true! Our sensitivity is our humanity and our superpower! I’ve teamed up with Patricia Young of the Unapologetically Sensitive podcast to bring you a 10 week empowerment course to transform your life-long negatively-perceived trait into your superpower! For more information check out the unapologetically sensitive page about the groups found here. Not sure if you are HSP? Take the test here.
Meditation for People CONVINCED They Can’t Meditate
New Classes Start every Fall and Spring
Many people are convinced that they cannot meditate. Come to this class and discover that everyone can meditate every day. Mindfulness Meditation has been scientifically proven to have robust psychological and physical benefits even at the beginning of its practice. Learn to use these simple but powerful techniques throughout the day to skillfully meet life’s ups and downs.
Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Group for Women
Most of us believe that being kind to others is important. However, most of us treat ourselves with a degree of disdain and harshness with which we would never dream of treating someone else. In this class, students will learn techniques designed to cultivate true acceptance, compassion, and friendliness towards ourselves.
Currently enrolling new members, initial individual intake session required ($175). Group costs $250 a month for weekly sessions. Groups meet ongoing, participants graduate from group when they feel they are finished. Groups are limited to 4 participants.
Two Groups are currently forming:
One meets weekly on Tuesdays at 5:00 pm via video
The other meets weekly on Fridays at 10:00 am via video
Mindful Therapist Peer Group
Meets the Fourth Friday of the Month at 11:30 am
